The canvas
When the answer wants to be a file, it is one
Ask for a comparison and you get a workbook; ask for the write-up and you get the document. The canvas opens beside the chat — narrowing it, never covering it — and renders the real thing: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PDF, CSV, Markdown, HTML, code.
It is a live document rather than a picture of one. Tabs, formulas and formatting are all there, because the file was built in a sandbox with the same libraries you would have used yourself. Keep talking and it rewrites the sheet in front of you; download it and it opens in Excel exactly as it looks here.

Bring it in whatever shape it arrived in
A spreadsheet, a signed PDF, a scanned page, a deck, a database dump, a notebook, a zip of forty of them. You attach it and ask about it; there is no import step and no conversion to do first.
Big files are not read by squinting at them, either. A workbook or a Parquet extract is opened in a sandbox with pandas and friends already installed, so the figures come from running the file rather than from guessing at it — and the answer comes back with the row, cell or page it came from attached.

Curated feeds for technology, business, policy and crypto sit in the same window, and the assistant can search the news itself when a question turns out to be about something that happened this morning rather than something in your files.
If your work touches the market, that is here as well: watchlists, charts you can draw on, movers, a sector treemap, earnings and financials — and the same live prices are available to the assistant mid-sentence. If it does not, you will never open the tab.
Knowledge & workflows
It keeps what matters, and repeats what recurs
Anything you attach can be promoted into a knowledge base every future chat can search, so the policy you uploaded in March is still there in September. Chats sort into folders, and any one of them can be shared as a link with attachments redacted.
