Connect the systems you already run

Mail, documents, storage, code, databases and market data. A connector is not one switch but a set of tools the assistant can reach for — and every one of those tools carries its own permission: Allow, Ask, or Disabled.

You connect with the account you already have, so Scalata sees exactly what your own login sees — there is no second copy of your data to keep in step. Reading runs freely; anything that writes, sends or deletes stops and asks first. And because answers stay attached to the message, row or document they came from, a figure can be traced back to its source rather than taken on trust.

Agents

The specialists that finish the work

An agent here is not a persona. It is a specialist that finishes a particular kind of work — retrieval with citations, a formula-driven workbook, an extraction grid across forty contracts, a running application — and there are thirteen of them.

You never have to pick. Your request is read, the specialist that can actually finish it is chosen, and the reason is shown — including why the neighbouring one was not. Where two genuinely fit, you are offered the choice rather than guessed at. And they call each other: Chart AI sends out for data, the Financial agent runs Python underneath, and any of them can become a step in a workflow.

Widgets

The surfaces it builds

A widget is what an answer looks like when it is more than a sentence: a workbook, a document, a dashboard, a comparison, a running app. You ask in words; what comes back is a thing you can keep working on.

There are six of them. Table AI builds a workbook and rebuilds it when the question changes. Document AI writes and rewrites Word, PowerPoint and PDF. Grid AI compares a folder of documents question by question, with a citation on every cell. Newsfeed AI, Portfolio AI and App AI do the same for what is happening, what you hold, and the internal tool you have been meaning to build. Every one of them is driven from the same chat, and stays live afterwards.

Workflows

Work that runs itself

Nobody builds a workflow by dragging boxes onto a canvas. You answer questions about how the work is actually done — what starts it, what it should read, which systems it may touch, who decides — and the graph is the record of your answers.

The steps that need reading, weighing and writing up go to a digital employee rather than to a rule. The ones that are genuinely a person's stay with the person, at a threshold you set. Everything else runs unattended — tested against a real case before it goes live, put on a schedule, and keeping the reasoning behind every decision it takes.

The layer that writes and runs it

Underneath the workbooks that rebuild, the documents that rewrite themselves and the apps that appear from a sentence, one thing is happening: code is being written and run against your data.

Not suggested — planned, written, checked, executed, and repaired when it fails, with a patch to the line at fault rather than a rewrite of the file. It runs in a sandbox belonging to your organisation alone: one machine per session, a ceiling on memory, processor and time, and nowhere to send anything it was not given. That is what makes it safe to point at the real ledger.
