Technology

Data Connectors

Mail, documents, storage, code, databases and market data — each connector is a set of tools the assistant can reach for, and every one of those tools is governed by a permission you control.

Permissions

Every tool is Allow, Ask, or Disabled

A connector is not an all-or-nothing switch. Each tool inside it carries its own setting, and you can change any of them at any time — the defaults are only where each one starts.

Allow

Runs immediately, no interruption. Where reads sit by default — searching, listing, opening a file — because the worst case is a wasted call.

Ask

Stops, shows you exactly what it is about to do, and waits. Where anything that leaves a mark sits: sending mail, writing a row, moving money.

Disabled

Off entirely. The tool is never offered to the model, so it cannot be called by mistake — or by a prompt that talks it into trying.

Defaults follow how much a tool could cost you

Read

Looks at data and returns it. Changes nothing.

Write

Creates or updates something that persists.

Destructive

Deletes or overwrites. Not reversible from inside Scalata.

Reads run freely, writes stop and ask, and the destructive ones are off or gated until you say otherwise. Remote MCP connectors are governed by those same three risk levels rather than tool by tool, because their tool list is published by the server at runtime rather than fixed in advance.

Communication

Communication

Mail, chat, meetings and calendars — where the work gets discussed and scheduled.

Gmail

Google

Search, read, and draft email from your inbox, and send on your behalf with your approval.

  • Search across your entire inbox, threads, and labels to find any message in seconds — by sender, subject, date, or keywords.
  • Read full messages and their attachments so the assistant can ground its answers in your real email history instead of guessing.
  • Draft, reply to, and send emails on your behalf, with approval required before anything actually leaves your account.
  • Keep your inbox organized — mark messages read or unread, archive them, apply and remove labels and stars, and move mail to Trash.

Microsoft Teams

Microsoft

Read and post to your Teams channels and chats, and search across the conversations you're in.

  • List your teams and their channels, and read recent channel messages.
  • List your chats (1:1, group, meeting) and read recent chat messages.
  • Post a message to a channel or send a message to an existing chat, with approval required first.
  • Work/school accounts only. Listing teams/channels and reading channel history need your Microsoft 365 admin to approve the app; sending and reading your own chats work without admin approval.

Outlook

Microsoft

Read, search, draft and send Outlook mail, plus your Outlook calendar — what's on, who's free, and scheduling meetings.

  • Search across your Outlook inbox to find any message in seconds — by sender, subject, date, or keywords.
  • Ask what's on your calendar for any window — recurring meetings appear on the days they actually fall on — and check when people are free before proposing a time.
  • Create, move, and cancel events, optionally with a Teams link; every write asks first.
  • Read full messages and their attachments so the assistant can ground its answers in your real email history.
  • Draft, reply to, and send emails on your behalf, with approval required before anything actually leaves your account.
  • Keep your inbox organized — mark messages read or unread, archive them, apply categories, and move mail to Deleted Items.

Slack

Salesforce

Search and read your Slack workspace, send and reply to messages, react, and share files — always scoped to your own Slack permissions.

  • Search your Slack workspace and read channel or thread history — every action is scoped to what your own Slack account can already see.
  • Send and reply to messages, add reactions, and upload a file you attached in the chat straight to a channel — each write gated by your permission settings.
  • List channels and members so the assistant knows where to post and whom to mention.
  • Connects with your Slack user token — nothing the assistant does exceeds your own Slack permissions.

Twilio

Twilio

Send SMS, MMS, and WhatsApp messages, check delivery, and look up phone numbers via Twilio.

  • Send SMS and MMS from your Twilio numbers, each write gated by your permission settings.
  • Send WhatsApp messages via Twilio (WhatsApp-enabled number or Sandbox).
  • List recent messages and check delivery status.
  • Validate/format phone numbers (free Lookup) and list your Twilio numbers.
  • Connects with your Account SID + Auth Token — stored encrypted; you pay Twilio for usage.

Zoom

Zoom

Manage your Zoom meetings, read cloud recordings and transcripts, and post in Team Chat.

  • List, view, schedule, update, and cancel your Zoom meetings — every action is scoped to your own Zoom account.
  • Read your cloud recordings and pull a meeting's transcript so the assistant can summarize or search what was said (requires a paid plan with cloud recording + transcription).
  • List your Team Chat channels and send a message to a channel or a direct message — each write gated by your permission settings.
  • Connects with your own Zoom login via OAuth; nothing the assistant does exceeds your Zoom permissions or plan.
Zoom setup and data handling

Productivity

  • Search and read records across the bases and tables you connect.
  • Create, update, and delete records, with approval required before anything is written.
  • Read base schema, and create bases, tables, and fields to set up new data for you.
  • Read and add record comments.

Amazon S3

Amazon Web Services

List, read, upload, and delete objects across your Amazon S3 buckets, within your IAM access.

  • List your S3 buckets and browse objects by folder-like key prefix.
  • Read object contents as text — Office files and PDFs are parsed, scanned images are OCR'd — or download the real file into the workspace for code execution.
  • Upload objects from text or push a file you attached in the chat, and delete objects — each write gated by your permission settings.
  • Connects with an IAM user's access key — every action is limited to that user's S3 permissions.

Apollo.io

Apollo.io

Prospect people & companies, enrich verified contacts, and manage outbound sequences.

  • Search Apollo's B2B database for people and companies by title, seniority, industry, headcount, and more.
  • Enrich a person, an organization, or a whole list to reveal verified emails and phone numbers (uses Apollo credits).
  • Create and update contacts in your Apollo workspace, and search your saved contacts.
  • Add or remove contacts from existing sequences to keep outbound moving, and list your sending mailboxes.
  • Requires a paid Apollo plan with API access + available credits; each tool has its own permission you control.

Azure Blob Storage

Microsoft

List, read, upload, and delete blobs in your Azure Blob Storage containers.

  • List your blob containers and browse blobs by folder-like name prefix.
  • Read blob contents as text — Office files and PDFs are parsed, scanned images are OCR'd — or download the real file into the workspace for code execution.

  • Connects to Calendly's official MCP server via OAuth — just approve access.
  • List event types, scheduled meetings, invitees, and availability schedules.
  • Create single-use scheduling links, cancel meetings, and (on a paid plan) book invitees.
  • Each tool has its own permission you control; writes ask before running.
  • Reading works on the Free plan; booking a meeting (create invitee) needs a paid Calendly plan.

Canva

Canva

Generate, edit, and export Canva designs, and browse the brand assets in your workspace.

  • Generate designs from a natural-language brief and turn a chosen candidate into a real, editable Canva design (generate-design → create-design-from-candidate).
  • Edit existing designs through transactional editing — open a session, apply operations, then commit (start / perform / commit / cancel-editing-transaction).
  • Search and inspect designs, pages, content, and presenter notes; import a design from a URL; export to PDF, PNG, PPTX, and more (Pro adds lossless/transparent output).
  • Manage assets, folders, and design comments; resize designs (Pro).
  • Brand templates and brand kits (Pro); autofill a template from a dataset (Enterprise).

Cloud Storage

Google

List, read, upload, and delete objects in your Google Cloud Storage buckets.

  • Read object contents as text — Office files and PDFs are parsed, scanned images are OCR'd — or download the real file into the workspace for code execution.
  • Upload objects from text or push a file you attached in the chat, and delete objects — each write gated by your permission settings.
  • Uses your own Google sign-in, so every action is limited to the buckets your IAM permissions allow.

Dropbox

Search, read, upload, organize, and share your Dropbox files, folders, and shared links.

  • Search your Dropbox and browse folders; read file contents — Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDFs, and text files are parsed to text.

  • Organize with folders; move, copy, and delete files, each gated by your permission settings.
  • Create shareable links to hand a file to someone with a URL.

Excel

Microsoft

Read and edit Excel workbooks in OneDrive — ranges, tables and named ranges, plus formulas Excel evaluates for you before anything is saved.

  • Read any range or table from a workbook in your OneDrive, without downloading it.
  • Let Excel evaluate a formula against your real data and tell you the answer — nothing is saved.
  • Call Excel's own functions (PMT, NPV, IRR, XIRR) so the numbers match the app exactly.
  • Write values and formulas back, append rows to a table, or add a sheet — each asks first.
  • Edits happen in the file itself, so your formatting, formulas and pivot tables survive.
  • Needs a work or school Microsoft account: Microsoft's Excel API doesn't cover personal OneDrive.

Google Calendar

Google

Read your schedule, see who's attending, and create, move, or cancel events in Google Calendar.

  • Read your schedule across all your calendars — upcoming events, details, and locations.
  • Search for events by keyword or time range to quickly find what you're looking for.
  • Check free/busy availability across multiple calendars before proposing a meeting time.
  • Create and update events on your behalf, with approval required before anything is added or changed, and deletion disabled by default.

  • Create files from text or push a file you uploaded in the chat straight to Drive, and organize with folders.
  • Rename, move, and trash files, and share them with people by email — each write gated by your permission settings.

Google Sheets

Google

Read and edit Google Sheets — values or formulas from any range, rows appended without overwriting, and writes that Sheets recalculates.

  • Read any range from a spreadsheet in your Drive, with the values you'd see or the formulas behind them.
  • Append rows to a table without overwriting anything.
  • Write values and formulas — Sheets recalculates the rest of the sheet.

  • Search and read across CRM (contacts, companies, deals, tickets), commerce (products, quotes, invoices, payments, subscriptions, orders), and marketing events.
  • Create contacts, companies, deals, tickets, and products — with approval required before anything is written.
  • Update records, log notes, create tasks, and link records together to keep your CRM current.
  • Reach Marketing Hub too: list and create campaigns, list forms, and add contacts to lists.
  • Commerce and marketing features need the matching paid HubSpot hub; without it those tools report a permission error and the rest keep working.

Lucid

Lucid

Create, edit, search, and export Lucidchart and Lucidspark diagrams, boards, and mind maps.

  • Generate flowcharts, ER diagrams, mind maps, org charts, and UML from a description or an SVG.
  • Edit existing documents — add blocks, lines, and dynamic tables; update and delete items.

  • Manage folders, comments, and share links — each tool has its own permission you control.
  • Works with your Lucid account (free included); your workspace admin must have Lucid's MCP enabled.

Microsoft To Do

Microsoft

Capture and complete tasks across your Microsoft To Do lists, with due dates, reminders, and notes.

  • Add tasks as they come up in conversation, with notes, a due date, a reminder, and importance.
  • See what's outstanding in any list — completed items are left out unless you ask for them.
  • Tick things off, reopen them, or reschedule, without leaving the chat.
  • Reuses the same Microsoft sign-in as Outlook and OneDrive; deleting a task asks first and can't be undone.

Notion

Notion

Search, read, and edit your Notion pages and databases, and create new pages from chat.

  • Search your workspace and read pages, databases, and comments.
  • Create pages (as database rows or sub-pages) and append content, with approval required before anything is written.
  • Update page titles, archive/restore pages, and add comments.
  • Create databases with typed columns, so the assistant can set up new tables for you.
  • You choose exactly which pages and databases to share when you connect — the assistant only sees those.

OneDrive

Microsoft

Search, read, create, move, delete, and share your OneDrive files, folders, and links.

  • Search your OneDrive and read file contents — Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDFs, and text files are parsed to text; scanned images are OCR'd.
  • Create files from text or push a file you uploaded in the chat straight to OneDrive, and organize with folders.
  • Rename, move, and delete files, and share them with people by email — each write gated by your permission settings.

OneNote

Microsoft

Search, read and add to your OneNote notebooks — full-text search across every page, read a page as text, and append without rewriting it.

  • Search across every page by what it says, not just its title.
  • Read a page's contents as text, and browse notebooks and sections.
  • Add a new page, or append to one you already have — appending never rewrites what's there.
  • Works with personal Microsoft accounts as well as work and school ones.

Planner

Microsoft

Your team's Planner boards — every task assigned to you, buckets, due dates and priorities, checklists, and ticking things off with approval.

  • See every task assigned to you across all your plans, in one question.
  • Read a board's buckets and tasks, with due dates, priorities and progress.
  • Create tasks, set due dates and priorities, and tick them off — each asks first.
  • Write a task's description and checklist.
  • Boards themselves are made in Planner; this works with the ones you already have.
  • Needs a work or school Microsoft account.

Salesforce

Salesforce

Run SOQL queries and read or update accounts, contacts, opportunities, and cases in Salesforce.

  • Run SOQL queries and SOSL searches across any object — Leads, Contacts, Accounts, Opportunities, Cases, and your custom objects.
  • Explore the org: list objects and describe a table's fields before you write a query.
  • Read individual records, see what was recently viewed, and check the org's API limits.
  • Create, update, and delete records — every write asks for approval first, and deletes are called out as destructive.
  • Connects to your own org over OAuth; all calls run against the instance the OAuth grant returns, so sandboxes and production stay separate.

SharePoint

Microsoft

Read your team sites — find sites, browse document libraries, query lists with filters, read documents as text, and see published pages.

  • Find sites and browse their document libraries — the team files OneDrive doesn't cover.
  • Read SharePoint lists: trackers, registers and logs, with filtering and sorting.
  • Read a document straight from a library — Word, PowerPoint, Excel and PDFs all become text.
  • See a site's published pages and news posts.
  • Read-only for now, so nothing on a shared site can be changed by accident.

  • Create/update products and collections, set inventory quantities per location, and create discount codes — each write gated by your permission settings.
  • Run ShopifyQL analytics queries, and read order details and customer profiles.

Invite only

Spotify

Search music, control playback, and manage your playlists, saved library, and devices.

  • Search tracks, artists, albums, and playlists, and see what's playing right now.
  • Control playback — play, pause, skip, queue, and volume (requires Spotify Premium and an active device).
  • Manage your library: list and create playlists, add tracks, and save songs — with approval before writes.
  • Playback controls are automatically disabled for non-Premium accounts, so free and Premium users can both connect.

Tableau

Tableau

Browse workbooks and dashboards, and query published data sources for the real figures.

  • Browse the site: list projects, workbooks, views, and published data sources.
  • Query a data source's real underlying data with the VizQL Data Service — pick fields, aggregate, sort, and filter, and get rows back as JSON.
  • Read a data source's fields before you query, and pull a view's data as CSV.
  • Everything is read-only, and it connects to your own Tableau Cloud or Server site with a Personal Access Token.

Todoist

Doist

Capture, find, and complete tasks across your Todoist projects, sections, labels, and comments.

  • Connects to Todoist's own hosted MCP server, so the tool list tracks whatever Todoist supports.

  • Find what's due, what's overdue, and what's in a project — then complete or reschedule it.
  • Read and add comments, and organise projects and sections.
  • Everything runs as you, with the same access you have in the app; each tool gets its own permission you control.

  • Follow workouts by sport with strain, heart rate, energy, distance, and time in each heart-rate zone.
  • Track day strain through WHOOP's physiological cycles, which don't line up with calendar days.
  • Read-only: WHOOP's API offers nothing to write, so nothing here can change your data.

Zapier

Zapier

Run actions across the 8,000+ apps you've connected in Zapier — you choose which actions to expose, and each one asks before it runs.

  • Connects to Zapier's official MCP server — one connection reaches every app you've set up in Zapier (Gmail, Slack, Sheets, your CRM, …).
  • You choose exactly which actions to expose in the Zapier dashboard; only those become tools here.
  • Each tool has its own permission you control; writes ask before running.
  • Works on any Zapier plan (incl. Free) — each tool call uses 2 Zapier tasks.
  • Connect with a bearer token you generate at mcp.zapier.com (stored encrypted).

Azure Cost Management

Microsoft

Report on Azure spend: cost by service or resource group, forecasts, budgets, invoices, and savings recommendations.

  • Read Azure Advisor's cost recommendations — idle resources, right-sizing, reservations — with the estimated annual saving on each.
  • Look up Azure's public retail prices for any SKU or region, to cost something before you deploy it.
  • Read-only: every tool reports, none of them change an Azure resource, budget, or subscription. You see exactly what your Azure account already lets you see.

Azure DevOps

Microsoft

Work items, repos and pull requests, pipelines, wikis, and test plans across your Azure DevOps organizations.

  • Connects to Microsoft's official Azure DevOps remote MCP server — hosted by Azure DevOps, so the tool list is always current.
  • Read work items and run WIQL queries, browse repositories, branches, files, and pull request threads, and search code, work items, and wikis.
  • Inspect pipelines, builds, logs, and artifacts; create pull requests, comment, vote, queue runs, and update work items — each behind your approval.
  • Signs in with Microsoft Entra ID and works across every organization your account can reach; each tool gets its own permission you control.

  • Follow recent commits and CI/CD pipeline runs with their result and duration.
  • Open pull requests, comment on them, and file issues — each behind your approval.
  • Set your workspace slug once in settings — Bitbucket removed the API that used to list your workspaces, so it can only come from you.
  • Signs in with Bitbucket Cloud's own OAuth; it is separate from the Atlassian account Jira uses, so it needs its own connection.

GitHub

Microsoft

Browse repos, files, and code, read and open issues and pull requests, and manage branches.

  • Browse repositories, branches, files, and code across every organization you have access to.
  • Read, search, and summarize issues and pull requests so you can stay on top of what's happening.

Heroku

Manage your Heroku apps — dynos, releases, config vars, add-ons, and logs across every app.

  • List apps and inspect one: dynos, releases, add-ons, and recent logs.
  • Scale, restart, and deploy: change dyno counts and sizes, restart dynos, and roll back to a previous release — each asks for approval first.
  • Manage config vars, with reading them gated behind approval since they can hold secrets.
  • Create and delete apps and add-ons; deletes are called out as destructive.
  • Connects with a Heroku API token, so it works with any account.

  • Explore your data: list databases and collections, run find queries and aggregation pipelines, count documents, and infer a collection's schema and indexes.
  • Write operations (insert, update, create index) require your approval before they run.
  • Destructive operations (delete documents, drop a collection) are disabled by default — enable them per-tool in settings only if you want them.
  • Everything runs against the connected database with the privileges of that connection string, so connect a least-privilege user for safety.

MySQL

MySQL

Query and manage any MySQL/MariaDB database — list databases and tables, run read-only queries, and (with approval) write.

  • Connect any MySQL or MariaDB database with a connection string — PlanetScale, AWS RDS, Railway, self-hosted — stored encrypted, never shown again.
